34 year old Carol Anne janson aka cj is preparing for a run as she often runs.Cj works for a congressman and discovers a man agaisnt him.Cj lives in her dead brother’s house.Cjs parents died when she was 10 and her brother helped raise her. Then he died in a boating accident.Her brother owned a chain of resturants with his partner.Cj inherited enough money two retire at age 30 but chose not to .The congressman knew this day would come but wants to be remembered as his dedication to being congressman and not what’s happening now.Snapper,the congressman,has a sick brother who needs care.Snappers accountant Billy helps acquire some money for snappers brother.Then he goes into hiding.The Congress man is found dead proclaimed a suicide and CJ is determined the man with the stinky cologne killed snapper.Cj was a bit of a drunk with all the wine she drunk not bothering to eat or buy groceries until she moved.I liked cj despite this and wanted her to not put herself in danger.I ususally don’t like books with mystery feel but this was a page Turner full of suspense.I liked the romance towards the end . #netgalley

Charity Stone isn’t in the mood  for being arrested for punching someone.She goes to the local bar and pulls her Stetson down low.Not wanting any attention after beating her best barrel racing time.Everyone turned out for the show and th bar is packed.She wasn’t interested in dating a cowboy. A cop,Dev,comes and stops her from assaulting a cowboy for flirting with a 13 year old after moving on from her.Dev is friends with her group of friends and she feels an attraction.I was instantly thrown into Charity’s world and rooting for her to have a complete life.Her sister comes into her life and leaves her son behind .I liked the slow buildup of romance
